Metamo: Spearheading Innovation

Founded in 2019 through a strategic joint venture between Fexco and 16 of Ireland’s largest credit unions, Metamo has rapidly become a beacon of innovation in the Credit Union sector. With initiatives like the Total Lending Solution (TLS) and bespoke HR services, Metamo supports Credit Unions in modernising operations and enhancing member services with advanced technological solutions. Today, Metamo partners with over 30 credit unions, with combined assets of over €5 billion and empowering more than 1,200 staff to serve over one million members across Ireland.

Transformative Impact and Strategic Partnerships

Metamo’s influence extends beyond technological solutions. By forming strategic partnerships with Irish Life and Allianz, Metamo enhances its Financial Advisory Services, aligning with the Credit Union mission of providing comprehensive financial education and advice. These collaborations are pivotal as they enable Credit Unions to broaden their service offerings and cater to the diverse financial needs of their members.

Research conducted with Amárach, in collaboration with Metamo, highlights a significant opportunity for credit unions and their members: “60% of credit union members actively seek more comprehensive financial advice, and 85% trust their credit union more than major banks.” This deep trust, combined with a clear demand for enhanced financial guidance, sets the stage for credit unions to significantly elevate their member service offerings.
